Short course of tasting and wine culture

Course objective:

Through practical and theoretical segments, participants will acquire basic knowledge about wine tasting, wine production processes and specificities of Serbian wines.

Duration: 6 hours (6 appointments of 1 hour each)

  • A brief overview of the history of wine
  • The main wine regions of the world and Serbia
  • Wine varieties – basic division (white, red, rose, sparkling and dessert wines)

📌 Basic tasting techniques

  • Proper way of holding and serving wine
  • Visual, olfactory and taste analysis of wine
  • Wine terminology – basic terms

🍷 Tasting: One white and one red wine from the old and new world

  1. term: How is wine made?

📌 Wine production technology

  • The production process of white, red and rosé wines
  • The difference between craft and industrial wines
  • Barrication and aging – influence of wooden barrels and stainless steel vessels

📌 Factors affecting wine quality

  • Influence of terroir – climate, soil, altitude
  • Technological factors and winemaking style

🍷 Tasting: Comparison of two wines of the same variety, but different production technology

📌 Main autochthonous and international white varieties in Serbia

  • Tamjanika, Smederevka, Bagrina, Morava

🍷 Tasting: Sparkling wine + selected from the wines tasted by the participants

Additional notes:

The course can be adjusted according to the group – add wines as desired, include special topics (e.g. organic wines, orange wines)
✅ Each participant receives a script with basic information (option currently under development)
✅ The possibility of obtaining a certificate of completion of the wine school

Course price 8000 din

The stated price is designed according to the minimum number of 5 participants. For a smaller number of price corrections according to agreement.

The maximum number of participants is 8. According to a special agreement for companies or team buildings with a larger number of interested people from the collective, it is possible to receive 12 people.
